“Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter period”
-Chinua Achebe
In addition to the Fellowship, the Foundation will run several research projects each year. Ideally, one Major and one minor research project will run in parallel. These projects, incubated within an educational institute formally associated with the Foundation, will focus on historical themes with contemporary relevance. This initiative will bring together subject matter experts and scholars from diverse fields to investigate the thesis in question with a multidisciplinary approach. The researchers will also access the primary sources in their original language with the help of language scholars. Based on interactions and discussions within the multidisciplinary project team, various means of disseminating the research findings—such as books, journal articles, and papers—will be considered. The project team’s findings will be periodically broadcast to the wider community including updates on the progress of the projects.
