Ravi Shankar Etteth is a writer and journalist whose work spans fiction, essays, journalism and cultural commentary. A long-time observer of Indian society and politics, he has written extensively on history, culture, contemporary India and the changing social landscape. He is also the author of several works of fiction, biography and poetry.

With FIHCR, he will be undertaking a project titled The Lion of the South: Sir Chetpat Pattabhirama Ramaswami Iyer (1879–1966), Statesman, Jurist, and the Making of Modern South India.
