Dr. Sauradeep Nath is a historian with a special interest in the archaeology, heritage, and cultural history of the Northeastern Region of India (NER). He holds a PhD from the Centre for Archaeology and Museology (CAM) at Assam University, Silchar, where he also completed his post-graduation in History.

With four years of combined teaching and research experience, Dr. Nath has served two consecutive terms as a Guest Faculty in the Department of History at Assam University, Silchar. His academic engagement extends beyond the classroom through his role as a Research Associate at the Dimasa Heritage Museum and Dishru Research Centre in Maibang, where he has contributed to heritage documentation, material culture studies, and community-based research.

An emerging scholar in the historical and cultural studies of NER, Dr. Nath is keenly interested in traditional weaponry, indigenous knowledge systems, and the region’s socio-political history. He has authored War and Weapon: An Illustrated Legacy of Ahom Military, a pioneering visual documentation of Ahom martial traditions.

Committed to public history and heritage awareness, he continues to write, research, and collaborate on projects that bring the region’s layered past to a broader audience.
