Chinmayee has completed her postgraduate studies in Archaeology and Ancient History from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, following a bachelor’s degree in Ancient Indian Culture from the University of Mumbai. Her research interests include archaeology, temple architecture, iconography, sacred landscapes, and heritage management and tourism.

She has experience in archaeological excavation, field exploration, architectural documentation, museum studies, and cultural research. Her work has involved documenting historic sites, analysing archaeological material, and contributing to projects on heritage interpretation and cultural tourism.

Her M.A. dissertation, ‘Beyond Pilgrimage: Reframing Heritage, Perception and Landscape of Mandhata Island, Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh’, examines the relationship between pilgrimage, landscape, and heritage management through archaeological documentation and stakeholder perspectives.

She is also interested in public engagement for archaeology. and history, focusing on making research accessible to wider audiences through writing, interpretation, and heritage communication. ​
