Hemendra Singh is a researcher of medieval Rajasthani language, literature, culture, and history, currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Rajasthan, with a focus on historical references in Dingal poetry. His research explores the interrelationship of history, language, and oral tradition embedded in medieval Rajasthani texts, particularly in the heroic and moral narratives found in Dingal poetry.

Hemendra has completed a Diploma in Manuscriptology and Palaeography and has proficiency in reading manuscripts and archival sources. His main work involves the study of Rajasthani archival sources, including Marwari and Dhundhari, and his findings are published in various research journals. For the past four years, he has been travelling to villages across western Rajasthan, carrying out the important work of bringing unpublished inscriptions to light.

Hemendra has also completed a course in Folklore Studies from Netaji Subhas Open University, Kolkata. His research, centred on the use of folk literature in historical writing, reflects his strong commitment to preserving and interpreting the literary heritage rooted in the folk traditions and cultural fabric of Rajasthan.
