On India’s 78th Independence Day, August 15, 2024, FIHCR signed its second MoU with the prestigious Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar. The newly built campus, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, functions under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and aims to restore the historic eminence and grandeur of the original Nalanda University, which was destroyed back in the thirteenth century. In the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abhay K. Singh, the Registrar, Dr. Ramesh Pratap Singh Parihar, and Dr. Vikram Sampath formalised the MoUs, signifying both organisations’ commitment to collaborate on projects, seminars, archives, publications, and other scholarly endeavours.

As a part of this initiative, FIHCR signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sri Sathya Sai University of Human Excellence (SSSUHE) on July 26, 2024, marking the 45th birthday of Sadhguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. The MoU was signed by Dr. Vikram Sampath (Founder and Director, FIHCR) and Prof. Srikanta Murthy K (Vice-Chancellor, SSSUHE) in the presence of Sadhguru. The two organizations have committed to collaborate on projects of historical importance and to engage with schools under the aegis of Sathya Sai Grama, intending to make history accessible and inspiring for young minds.

The Kudali Sharada Foundation (KSF), founded in 2024, is represented by Sri Sri Abhinava Shankara Bharati Mahaswami, the 72nd pontiff of Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Kudali Sringeri Maha Samsthan, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peeth.
The Kudali Sharada Foundation has partnered with the Foundation for Indian Historical and Cultural Research (FIHCR) to extend its patronage to researchers endorsed and recommended by FIHCR for its research programmes.
FIHCR will facilitate research programmes which include the Sri Sri Sachhidananda Shankara Bharti Fellowship and a research project in a collaborative partnership with the Kudali Sharada Foundation as its valued and academic partner.
Named after Sri Sri Sachhidananda Shankara Bharati Mahaswamiji, the 68th Shankaracharya of Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Kudali Sringeri Maha Samsthan, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peeth, Kudali, the fellowship programme aims to support significant research in areas of historical and cultural importance. In addition to the Fellowship, the foundation will facilitate research projects based on historical themes.
